| The 2010 Dakar Rally could start in Budapest |

| Hungary's government and the organizers of the Dakar Rally have signed a preliminary contract on Dec. 6, 2007 for the international race to begin in Budapest in January 2010. The start planned for Heroes' Square in capital Budapest but a time-trial will be held on an army base near Lake Balaton for the cars, motorcycles and trucks taking part in the race. |
